Angela Orenczak, IBCLC, CPD, CBE
Angela Orenczak is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC), Certified Postpartum Doula (CPD), Baby Steps Childbirth Educator (CBE), La Leche League Leader (LLLL), and an experienced nursing mother of 5.
Angela is a graduate of The Florida State University with her bachelor's degree in Information Studies. She passed the IBLCE exam and became an IBCLC in 2011. Angela recertified with the IBLCE in 2016. Angela has been an avid La Leche League Leader providing support through meetings, phone support and home visits since 2007.
IBCLC is the highest credential for a health care professional providing clinical lactation care. IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, Inc. (IBLCE).
Angela is certified through Childbirth International as a Postpartum Doula (CPD). She is eager to support families in their early postpartum phases of life - mothering the mother.
Angela is so excited to be a part of the Baby Steps Childbirth Education family! She took her Baby Steps Educator Training in September 2016 and now offers group and private classes using the awesome Baby Steps Curriculum.
It is Angela's goal to help a mother reach her own defined breastfeeding success, be it for a day or many years. Every Ounce Counts!
Heather Markovitch, IBCLC
Heather is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who has been supporting parents on thier breastfeeding journeys for four years. She was accredited as a La Leche League Leader (LLLL) in October of 2014 and was certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners in the spring of 2018.
Heather believes when provided quality education and continued support, along with clinical care when necessary, families thrive to meet their breastfeeding goals, whether that be six weeks or six years.
Heather resides south of Atlanta with her husband and three on-the-go sons. She has experienced life as a working/breastfeeding/pumping mom. Her drive and passion through this has given her the ability to provide parents with encouragement and determination to achieve a positive breastfeeding experience.
Heather is a member of SELCA (South Eastern Lactation Consultants Association) and the Southern Crescent Breastfeeding Coalition based in Henry County. She participated in several fund raisers for the Atlanta Birth Center before they opened their doors several years ago.
