Postpartum Doula

Certified Postpartum Doulas (CPD) are not baby nurses or nannies. CPD are a support to the new family practically and emotionally. CPD can help with light housework (laundry, vacuuming), light meal preparation, quick errands, education and support regarding basic baby care, general breastfeeding support, provide professional and community resources for breastfeeding, babywearing, and cloth diapering support, birth processing/story telling, and general evidence-based information and support as you enjoy your fourth trimester.
Since each mother and family is unique, this service is bendable to suit your needs best, whatever they may be. We can create a Postpartum Care Plan before the birth and make changes as needed.
Postpartum doula services make excellent gifts for new mothers. In today's society where extended families are many miles away and/or working full-time jobs, they are often unable to help a new mother in a practical way. Hiring a Postpartum Doula as a gift might be the greatest baby gift they can give!
